At C & I Electric Bikes, we are as excited for your new ride to arrive as you are. Because shipping an electric bicycle is a bit different than shipping a standard package, we have put together this clear, comprehensive guide so you know exactly what to expect from our warehouse in Lakeland, FL, to your front door.

1. Order Processing Time

Once you place your order, our team immediately gets to work.

  • All standard e-bike and accessory orders are processed and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days.

  • We process orders Monday through Friday. Orders placed on weekends, holidays, or after 3:00 PM EST will begin processing the next business day.

  • If a specific model is on backorder or experiencing a delay, we will proactively reach out to you via email or phone with an updated timeline.

2. The E-Bike Shipping Rule (Lithium-Ion Batteries)

Electric bikes are powered by high-capacity lithium-ion batteries. Under federal transportation laws, these batteries are classified as hazardous materials and must be shipped via ground transportation.

  • Because of these strict regulations, we cannot offer overnight or expedited air shipping for any of our electric bikes.

  • Accessories and non-battery parts may be eligible for standard expedited shipping options at checkout.

3. Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your items and your delivery address.

  • Standard Ground Transit: Once dispatched, e-bikes typically take 4 to 7 business days to arrive, depending on your distance from our Florida facility.

  • Please note that transit times are estimates. Carrier network volume and extreme weather can occasionally cause minor delays.

4. Shipping Restrictions

  • Where We Ship: We currently ship exclusively to the contiguous United States. We do not ship internationally or to Alaska, Hawaii, or US Territories at this time.

  • Physical Addresses Only: Because electric bikes ship in large, heavy boxes, we absolutely cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Please provide a valid residential or commercial street address at checkout.

5. Signatures and Delivery

Your new e-bike is a high-value item. To protect your purchase from theft or weather damage, an adult signature is typically required upon delivery. The carrier will not leave the bike unattended on a porch or driveway. If you are not home, the carrier will usually leave a door tag to schedule a redelivery or hold the item at a local hub for pickup.

6. Order Tracking

As soon as your shipping label is printed and the box is handed over to our freight partners, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email containing your tracking number. Please allow up to 48 hours for the carrier's system to reflect the initial scan and estimated delivery date.

7. Freight Damage & Inspections

We use heavy-duty, reinforced packaging to protect your e-bike in transit, but rough handling can sometimes occur.

  • When your bike arrives, please inspect the exterior of the box before the driver leaves.

  • If you see severe cosmetic damage to the box, take photos immediately.

  • If the bike inside is damaged, keep all original packaging materials and contact us within 48 hours so we can file a carrier claim and immediately send you replacement parts.
